Sunday 15th August 2010 – Helen Smith

mark | August 15, 2010

Helen preaches an excellent and challenging message in our series on Faith. This is entitled “Real Faith Shows”, and deals with a number of scripture passages which remind us that faith must be put to work, in order to be real faith and that the way we know it’s active and functioning, is that our lives display the Fruit of the Spirit (love, joy peach patience, kindness, goodness, faithfullness & self-control).

Prayer School – session 2

mark | August 14, 2010

Helen Smith delivers the second of a three part series on Prayer. Unfortuately there are a few short breaks in the recording, caused by a defective mic. Apologies for that, but the message is still understandable.

Sunday 25th July 2010 – Helen Smith

mark | July 26, 2010

Helen speaks from the story of Joseph, in Genesis 37

  1. Family – Church family members can severely wound one another. How did Joseph feel?
  2. Falsely accused. Potipher’s wife accused him if rape & he was imprisoned unjustly.
  3. Forgotten about. The butler agreed to plead his case, but didn’t bother for up to 2 years. God had not forgotten.
  4. Finally … it all came together and God brought a wonderful finale to his life. It came to pass, as God had said it would be.

The enemy wants to derail our lives in the same way as he tried with Joseph. But Joseph kept what God had said. We need to treasure the promises of God. Know that He’s inscribed you on the palm of His hand.

He’s your saviour and redeemer. He’s a healer and restorer. Keep close to Him.

Sunday 18th July 2010 – Mark Smith

mark | July 18, 2010

Pastor Mark continues his recent series on “The Faith Phenomenon”. This week, he tackles the subject of Doubt – “Faith; no doubt?”.

Faith in God is not a ‘blind faith’; God has built us with intellect, which needs to be used – not worshipped, but harnessed. Doubts cause us to strengthen in Faith.
