About River of Life, Dumfries
We normally meet every Sunday morning at 11am, in St Mary’s Greyfriars’ Church hall, which is on the fork between Annan Road and St Mary’s Street. It’s opposite the Cairndale Hotel.
There’s plenty of parking in the vicinity of the building and our hosts will meet you as you arrive. The closest car park is the Council Offices staff car park, which is open to all on Sundays.

What to expect …
You can expect a casual, friendly environment with a big (but not embarrassing) welcome. You can come as you are. Jeans, t-shirts, shorts; whatever works for you! We have people from many different nations and cultures, so you won’t feel like the ‘odd one’.
You’ll hear messages that you can apply to your daily life; you won’t be made to do anything embarrassing and you won’t be put in the spotlight for being ‘visitors’! There will be live music consisting of contemporary, fast and slow songs, with the words on screens. Your children can stay in the whole service or leave for Kids Church around 11.30am.
The service will finish around 12.30pm and you’re welcome to stay for free coffee/tea or soft drink afterwards and usually there are some cakes on the go too! Whether you’re married, single, single again, with children, or without; no matter where you’re from, where you’ve been or what you’ve done, we invite you to come experience God’s love at River of Life

River of Life Church is my home - I came from London many years ago and can't imagine being anywhere else. My wife and I got married here and our kids love to be around Church. They think Kids Church is fantastic.
New outlook on life
River of Life Church brings you close to friends, family and God. When you feel like you're searching for something in life, this is where to find answers. The services talks truth and relates to your life. You learn so much and it’s great fun. The greatest part for me is knowing there are fiends willing to support and guide me through life. I thank the Lord for where he’s placed me each day!
Ready for the week
When I moved to Dumfries; my mum introduced me to the River of Life Church. I just felt welcomed and loved and enjoyed songs and Bible stories in Kids Church. Having attended River of Life Church for eight years, I now feel at home and part of a family were I can worship and listen to the word of God. I love being part of River of Life Church - it helps me to be spiritually enriched and ready to start a new week.
